R.E. Black Building Management has moved to 125 N. Market, Suite 1720, the Wichita Executive Center (formerly the ScTelcom Building).  The move was prompted by the company taking over the building management for that facility. “We wanted to be very hands on in this building, and moving our offices was the best way,” said Troy Palmer, owner of R. E Black. R. E. Black Building Management is a commercial building management company with over 100 years combined experience. R.E.Black was the first management company in downtown Wichita.

Jerome Waltner, of Waltner Wood & Wall Designs in Newton, has been recognized by Fine Woodworking magazine for his design and construction of a maple chess table and pieces.  The international “Furniture Build-off Contest” is sponsored by the magazine, as well as Delta and Porter-Cable Tools.  Waltner’s design was chosen by contest judges to be among the 24 semi-finalists who come from 16 states and Canada.  Waltner is the only semi-finalist from Kansas.  Four rounds of on-line voting by the public will narrow the semi-finalist field to 12, then 6, then 3 and finally the winner.  The top three prizes include thousands of dollars worth of shop tools.  For more information on voting, please visit the Waltners' website: www.waltnerwwd.com.
